FEMA Grant Management

In March of 2007, Solutient was awarded a contract by Jefferson Parish to provide program management services to assist in grant relationships with FEMA and GOHSEP. Since that day Solutient has become the leading grant manager of FEMA funded home elevations and reconstructions in the country. With 600 homes either in completion or in construction, and another 200+ homes scheduled for final FEMA approval, Solutient will have enabled Louisiana to place 800 homes back into commerce. These numbers are continually increasing as more applications are written, approved by FEMA, and awarded to Solutient by local governments.

In addition to putting citizens back in their homes, the goals of Solutient grant management are to assure total compliance with FEMA regulations, and to religiously guard against any form of malfeasance, waste, or misappropriation in all phases of the elevation or reconstruction process.

The years of experience in working with parishes (i.e. counties), homeowners and building contractors have enabled Solutient to continually reduce the time required to put homes back together and to put their owners back into them. Over the last 100 homes the median time from date of award to completion of construction is 4 months.
